FLAG OF HONOR
NOTICE TO ALL  RELATIVES AND FRIENDS OF DECEASED
PURPLE LANCER ALUMNI SINCE 1949.
The time is now that these individuals finally get their names placed in Memorium for their labor of love. No longer shall we be remiss in addressing such a tribute.
Should the corps disband, the flag will be placed in a standard in the lobby of Memorial City Hall until such time that it will be reactivated.
The cost to enter your love ones name on the FLAG OF HONOR will be $100.00 per name submitted.
The corps has found a way to memorialize and pay tribute to those who truly dedicated themselves in establishing the Lancers as an Auburn icon and left a legacy for other generations to come.  The FLAG OF HONOR has been created so that these individuals of yesteryear will have their names embroidered on a flag that will be carried by the corps at every parade, exhibition, concert and event.

PURPLE LANCERS NEWS
>PAGEANT OF DRUMS-On Aug. 14th the Purple Lancers traveled to Cicero, NY to perform as an exhibition corps. It's the first time in 36 years that the Lancers basically took the field for an exhibition. At the end of the performances all the corps marched onto the field in review using an Olympic style format. The Lancers marched along side the two best senior drum and bugle corps in the United States, namely, the Reading, PA "Buccaneers" and the Empire Statesmen from Rochester; both world champions. They don't come any better. The Purple Lancers received a trophy of participation. Great job!

>WINTER ENSEMBLE & MANGIA ITALIANO FUNDRAISER-We now will concentrate on recruiting and putting together our winter ensemble (mini Corps). We will be booking indoor concerts with about 15 horns and several drums. We anticipate playing in auditoriums and shopping malls, especially during the holiday season.
In about 5-6 weeks we will start rehearsing for our winter ensemble and prepare for our annual fundraising buffet at Sacred Heart Church in Nov, called "Mangia Italiano". Details will be forthcoming in Oct...This will be our third year of our buffet.
>2010 PARADE SEASON- is over and we discontinue parades until May of 2011. We had a very exciting and memorable parade season. We performed in communities like Troy, Cape Vincent, Watkins Glen, Phelps, Syracuse, Owasco, Jordan, Auburn, Port Byron, Weedsport, and of course Cicero NY.
